"Our company and household supplies are often purchased on-line. It's product R&D — and a necessity of Montana living. We notice what works and improve by emulating winning examples." - Karly Pitman, business operations, E-business Coach
In describing our vision, we explained an emphasis on helping merchants sell to certain market segments. Here's one:
Known as the conscious consumer, this demographic is passionate about
the well-being of their family, community and environment. Social issues can be motivating factors in purchasing behavior, with a bias towards "natural" products, sustainability and "fair trade." Personal development or self-care can be another motivator to this type of consumer. Characteristically, merchants serving this market segment may have proclaimed a social mission beyond funding business operations.
E-business Coach's intention is to serve merchants who seek to grow web sales within the conscious consumer market segment.
The marketplace serving these consumers has been tagged Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability, and is also known by the acronym LOHAS. It's been estimated as a $230 billion market segment in the United States, but with worldwide appeal. Products can include organic food and personal care products for people and animals, energy efficient electronics and appliances, natural and preventative medicine, natural household products and furnishings, fitness products, organic clothing, and much more.
Conscious consumers can also be known as cultural creatives or solution seekers.
Are you selling to this market? Do you know of a company that is and would like to improve the results from their web sales channel?
